Zango is a toolbar that like some other toolbars provides access to partners’ games and DRM-restricted videos and software. But it is not a simple toolbar, it is a malicious program that was exposed by different antivirus companies and added to the antivirus databases. So, if you open your web browser and notice that a new toolbar appeared in it, but you did not install it, then you should know that it was installed by a Trojan that you catch on the Internet. You should uninstall Zango toolbar if you have it.

1. You should open your Task Manager, by pressing CTRL-SHIFT-ESC.
2. Then you should select Processes tab, find the following processes, highlight them one by one and click on end process button:

   • bar.exe
   • closeexplorer.exe
   • closeexploreru.exe
   • regmfc.exe
3. Then you should not reboot your computer, just continue to uninstall Zango. You should remove the registry entries of Zango. Open Registry Editor, by pressing Win+R buttons. Then type regedit in the line and press Enter. Do the backup copy of the registry and then you can remove the following registry entries:
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEsoftwaremicrosoftwindowscurrentversionexplorerbrowser helper
     objects{fff5092f-7172-4018-827b-fa5868fb0478}
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEsoftwarezsearchco
   • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEsoftwarezsearchcozsearch

   You should know that it is impossible to enumerate all the registry entries that belong to the infection, so you should use any registry cleaner if you are not sure that all of the registry entries were removed.

4. After that you should remove the following folders:
   • %ProgramFiles%ZangoClient
5. Then you can use any of the great list of antivirus programs. You should install the program (or reinstall if you have any), update it and run the full scan.
6. Then you should do the restoration of the system with the help of the Windows bootable disk for the case if your antivirus has removed any of the important system files because they were infected.
