What is SourceApp?
SourceApp is typical browser adware. It distributes as browser extension for 3 main browsers – Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. After infection in your browsers you will see extra ads, banners inserted on browser pages. Under the ad modules it says “Ads by SourceApp” and content of this advertising is usually irrelevant and annoying. In this removal guide I will show you step by step elimination process.
How SourceApp gets on your PC?
SourceApp belongs to a family of SuperWeb LLC or Yontoo adware. All such threats use the same penetration model. Unfortunately, some well-known and popular websites, like download.com, softonic.com and others participate in spreading such adware. This is not a virus or trojan however SourceApp uses doubtful techniques to get installed on users PC. During download or installation process (or in EULA) you are offered to install this or that additional program (usually ad-supported). If you miss this offer – it gets installed. Nowadays most users do not pay attention to user agreements and check-boxes during installation. This gives an opportunity to programs like SourceApp to infiltrate computer and show ads, banners, coupons, deals.
