What is Happy2Save?
Happy2Save is a browser extension that hijacks popular browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer. After penetration, the program starts to bother a huge amount of advertising (banners, coupons, links to ad sites, and so on). This ad can appear at any time during your browser. The main task of the developers – this is to get you to make unnecessary purchases. Also after each click on the banner ad developers are paid. This program has become more sophisticated and these uninstall techniques do not work. The program also changes file extensions to file type- “.happy2save” and can destroy other programs through corrupting files in this way. I still haven’t been able to remove it totally even after years of trying to do so by following this and other removal guides.
Thank you, Joseph. I think that you describe another virus with the same name.
If there are 2 viruses with the same name then how can I find a remedy for my version? I have uninstalled or removed all of the files that this instruction asks me to uninstall or remove and yet, every few months, inexplicably random files are renamed with the file extension “happy2save” file type.
