What is D00mEd Ransomware
D00mEd ransomware (alternative name – DirectorD00m) is another cryptovirus encrypting user data and extorting money for decryption. This virus became active in early October 2019 and has already spread like a plague. It is worth noting that D00mEd ransomware has spread throughout the world, although D00mEd ransomware is intended primarily for English speakers. A genealogical relationship with a family has not been established. After encryption, D00mEd ransomware assigns a new .d00med extension to files, which completely negates the ability to work with files. D00mEd ransomware creates a READ_MEE.txt text document containing the “messages” of the scammers who developed it.
