Hi there
Am having some trouble getting rid of couponarific as it doesn’t appear in my programs list or extensions list on Firefox. I know it must be hiding somewhere on my laptop but not too sure where. Any suggestions?
Have you tried SpyHunter scanner? It is paid tool, but it will show you paths to malicious files and folders.
OKAY. I have something to add onto about this annoying adware.
Couponarific Originates from Downloading 85% of ALL FREE DOWNLOAD PROGRAMS!!!
What’s so Bad About it?
The Following :
– 1. Slows your computers processing ( makes it run very very slow . . . sometimes FREEZES.
– 2. **Even when uninstalling from the control panel, It won’t be remoevd from your PC!!! – Instead : It’ll be stuffed into your C drive with abunch of random looking folders lke : “3BALK-287C-030827″ etc . . . and you double cilck on it and what do you see? A FREAKING COUPONARIFIC ICON!!!!! named ” Uninstaller” – which is really the “uninstaller .exe”. That right there is what causes the Couponarific B.S. We see on every one of our browsers.
– 3. We can’t remove it!! I tried with SPY HUNTER #4, I bought it and right now im SCANNING AGAIN, 6th day in a ROW ( and yes i scanned every freaking day and it was removed…then came back when i restarted?! omfg)
– 4. Couponarific ALSO Instals itself onto your ‘SYSTEM’. Yes, your windows system. IT IS FREAKING GAY!!!!!!
– 5. IT ALSO INSTALLS A BUNCH OF OTHER RANDOM SHIET – Like say Hitblends, or maybe those P.U.P. Spigot shit!
– 6. LOL. I uninstalled this PUP Called Searchproject or something like that 6 months ago. GUESS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I DOWNLOADED A FREE SOFTWARE…
THE FREAKING PUP CAME BACK WITH COUPONARIFIC LOL! ( Im literally crying irl).
If this shit happens again i’m going to literally KILL MYSELF, and put on a fucking note paper that says, “my death is because of this retarded couponarific program that won’t gtfo my computer – Please avenge me by getting rid of those fuckers by ALL MEANS NECESSARY”.
i literally will, watch you’ll see on the news :
“Connecticut KID Kills commits suicide due to Adware that kept his computer from starting up and loading into windows and performing correctly.”
Wow, be patient, dude! That’s just an adware. Yes, it uses some tricky techniques. I infected my test PC – it does not seem to difficult to remove. Maybe, use several scanners to remove Couponarific – if you already have SpyHunter – try Malwarebytes.
well xD i wish it was that easy i tried 4 fucking anti mallware things+3 paid virus scanners and i dont get rid of it i tried to delete it form my program list but it likes to come back or it wont uninstall it says the file in not accesable or file is in use or file does not exist but it stays there , i have it for more then over i year i tried litary evrything but it doesnt ga away. i cant even use system restore because that mallware is putting it when my laptop was made , i do understand that dramatic answer =P im glad 1 browser blocks it but its still on my pc
I’ve tried uninstalling manually and thought it worked (it didn’t). So when I tried to download SpyHunter and related programs, my computer would say that the program is not compatible with windows. This message also shows up when downloading other various software, not only anti-virus/anti-malware. Also, all my browsers (IE, Chrome, and Firefox) don’t run properly (its forever to load, Youtube videos won’t load, pictures will only partially load). Has this occured to anyone else? If anyone can help me, thank you
Either your PC is badly infected or some Windows malfunctioning. Try to use MalwareBytes and Spyhunter in Safe Mode with Networking – if there is some virus infection – in Safe Mode it won’t be active and programs will be installed correctly.
I think I just found a potential fix to this.
What I did was I opened Registry Editor (by pressing the windows button and “R” at the same time).
It will open a small window and where it says “Open”, type “regedit”
After it opens, go to “Edit” at the top and click “Find…”
A small window will open and it was say “Find what”. Type in “couponarific” and it will look for evrything that has to do with couponarific.
After it shows the first file, right click it and press delete.
You’ll probably have to keep searching “couponarific” about 3 – 4 times. When you search it and it says “Finished searching through the registry”, couponarific should be completely gone from your computer.
Just restart your computer and you should be all good.
Hope that helped.
I tried the registry editor solution , and thought you recall when it found a file, but am getting the message: ” unable to delete all specified values.” Not sure if this is normal or if there is snything else that I can do from here. Nothing appears to have been removed.
