Step 1: Remove MacShiny from Mac

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS WONDERFUL COMPLETE AND NICELY EXPLAINED ARTICLE ON GETTING RID OF THE MACSHINY. WHT A PAIN IN THE ASS!!!! I WILL ATTEMPT TO DO IT NOW.. WHY AM I THE FIRST TO COMMENT? THIS WAS THE WORST NUISANCE ALMOST LIKE A VIRUS THAT I HVE EXPERIENCED ON MY MACBOOK. THEY SHOULD BE BANNED ND FINED AND THEN SUED, IN FCT I AM GOING TO CHECK CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS NEXT, I BET I FIBD ONE!!
I cannot find Macshiny app so that I can delete it.
I could not find the app to delete, but when I check safari’s preferences/Manage Website Data I see the cookie there plus 4 others. When I highlight and hit “remove” button it just comes back “MacShiny com”. So how do I get ridoff it.
try to clear your profiles:
Launch System Preferences
Select Profiles at the bottom of window.
Choose AdminPrefs profile, click “-“ icon and enter password.
