What means Your iPhone Has Been Locked message?
“Your iPhone Has Been Locked”, as well as “Dear user, congratulations” is a fake alert, cyclically showing fake information predominantly on Mac, iPhone and Android browsers: Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox and others. Cybercriminals claims, that user has been violated with some law articles for watching and viewing some porn contents. They give an email address which looks like FBI contacts. In fact, it is fake information. Cybercriminals demand a payment for a fine of $300. They also warn that if the user doesn’t pay within 24 hours, his/her bank accounts etc. will be frozen. Users iPhone screen gets locked screen by the following message:
Your iPhone has been locked by Apple due to detected illegal activity! Immediately call Apple Support to unlock it! We’re here to help.

The main purpose of Scams is to force victims to pay for a fine, for solving the fictitious problem. Users don’t realize, that their device was hacked and try to solve it by scammers advices. Step 1: Remove pop up from Mac
Pop up may not have app associated with it in Application. However, we recommend you to inspect the list of installed applications and remove unknown or suspicious ones.
Mac OSX:
- Check all apps on your device, find malware apps(their names ussually are simmilar with scam name)
- Open Finder
- In the Finder sidebar, click Applications
- If you see Uninstall pop up or pop up Uninstaller, double-click it and follow instructions
- Drag unwanted application from the Applications folder to the Trash (located on the right side of the Dock)

To remove leftover items of unwanted application on Mac we recommend you to use AppCleaner. Just drag application you want to remove to AppCleaner window and it will search for residual data on your hard drive. This will save space of your memory and will help to remove stubborn applications from Mac systems.
After that remove pop up from your browser.
iPhone/iPad iOS:
If you get a pop-up, close it. Don’t “like” it, and don’t open it, to prevent more malware infiltration into your phone. Certain third-party download sites might include programs that you don’t want with the software that you install.
- Check all apps on your device, find malware apps(their names ussually are simmilar with scam name)
- Touch and hold the app until it jiggles
- Tap cross in the upper-left corner of the app
- Tap Delete
Step 2: Remove pop up from browsers
Safari:
- Open Safari
- Click Safari menu.
- Choose Extensions.
- Find Pop up.
- Click Uninstall button to remove it.
